I want to know how much more voltage a grid-tie system is allowed to induce into the public grid.

The increase in voltage where your input meets the grid will be minimal. When your voltage is a bit higher than theirs, you will feed current to them. Of course this loads your source. If you were able to increase your voltage input, you would be supplying current to others using the grid. Your source would not be able to supply enough current to raise the voltage. My system puts out a bit over four kilowatts, and the only voltage increase at my meter, is due to the IR drop between the meter and the power company’s transformer.
